1. How has your career grown since starting at the company?
It’s been 5 years. I joined when I was a Junior Developer, and the employee count at Velotio was only 42. With the opportunities and exposure, I am now leading Frontend Development for a project. I have gotten a chance to work on numerous projects with a team of 1 to 15+ members and am grateful to Velotio for all the learnings.
2. What is your favorite thing about working at Velotio?
My two most favorite things about Velotio are its work culture and the people. The most important thing for any professional is how satisfied they are in terms of work quality, opportunities for growth, flexibility, management’s trust, and financial growth. I feel amazing about how Velotio treats the employees here and offers opportunities to learn different technologies and work on different projects. Also, another great thing is that you find like-minded people around you, which makes you feel like family.
3. What career advice would you give to aspiring young engineers?
There is no shortcut to success. Don't try to impress other people or the organizations where you are interviewing/working. Be honest, work smart and hard, be clear about the basics, gain in-depth knowledge of the core concepts and keep upskilling with the latest technologies. Whatever field you are in, you will definitely succeed.
4. What are your three most overused words/phrases?
"Quick call, pinned link?"
"Ha, Bolo."
"Ok, that will be done."
5. What would be the title of your autobiography?
"Simple living and high thinking."
6. What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I like to watch web series, play games, learn something technical or non-technical, and spend time with family in my free time.
7. What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I'm a night person and love the cool, quiet nightlife, though I'm not a party person. I play games during my free time to unwind and relax.
8. Where’s your favorite place in the world?
I yearn for mental peace, so it has to be a place on the beach where I can listen to the midnight waves with my family or friends.
9. If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be?
My mom. When I was a child, I had many dreams which couldn’t be realised as she left early.
10. If you could have any superpower what would it be?
Someone who could offer a helping hand like Shaktiman or Batman. Someone who is always there to help anyone facing problems or struggling in their life.
